Disc Golf – A Modern Day Alternative to Traditional Golf
Disc Golf is a game similar to a traditional game of golf. As goes the name, Disc Golf is a lot like traditional golf. The only difference between disc and traditional golf is that the former is played with a flying disc, while traditional golf is played with a ball and clubs. The goal of disc golf is to complete each hole with the least number of hits possible.
In the case of disc golf, the player covers a specified number of holes in the least number of throws. The holes in disc golf are commonly called a Pole Hole and are raised metal baskets. This game got its formal status way back in the 1970’s, and has since become a popular sport across all age groups because, of the obstacles and challenges it creates for the player.
